To me, and this may be based on my medical background, the mention of inherent bias in clinical providers is listed in the study. So I suppose it would be fruitful to explore how we develop those biases internally. Are they race based and thus class based? Hard to direct a finite assumption. However, the practice of ignoring pain amongst women, for example, and leaving it untreated is a known clinical decision.
