It is honestly terrible to get something through the strainer there because the editors don't exist. You can't just speak to them and work through the issues they might find. Recently I wrote an article about a Ukraine, that was thematically similar to another - i had explained and given the science behind two of the weapons being used there. Nothing violent or graphic, nothing suggestive or biased. Just the straight up facts. One was approved, the other was denied for not following their content policy. They were no different. Different subjects but functionally the same template for information. When I asked for more direct feedback - crickets, "refer to the content policy". No shit. I cannot find, truly, where I violated it. But an article about nuclear weapons went viral the week before with other 1M views. Make it make sense.
